Insight Advising is a small academic advising outfit operated by me, Megan Wurster. After fourteen years of working in post-secondary education as an academic advisor and accessibility advisor, I have noticed patterns in the barriers that students face when it comes to program selection, preparation, academic and learning strategy, and advocating for their accessibility needs. Some students land in the wrong program, some are unprepared academically, some students face accessibility barriers, and some students just need a little help with executive function in order to be successful. Given my experience and dedication to student success, I created Insight Advising to address these needs.

I have worked at the University of Colorado Boulder, University of British Columbia, Vancouver Island University, and University of Victoria, and have maintained an active membership in NACADA since 2014, including serving on the regional steering committee since 2021.
